The motto of AmeriCorps is “Getting Things Done” with the goal of helping others and meeting critical needs in the community. Each year over 80,000 members throughout the nation do just that by getting involved in their community. Through service, compassion, and loving others they change their communities into better places to live. Greenville, Alabama has the honor of having one of the best; Ms. Annie Clemmons or “Miss Annie” as everyone knows her.

And this week, we celebrated their important contributions to the field of education and recognized the unique skill-sets they bring to the work they do in many fields.
